Feed Your Kids A Lot, Then Get Free Tickets

Because I earn points on my American Express card, I use it as much as humanly possible. Especially for groceries. And we buy a LOT of those. Five hungry mouths eat a boatload of food in just one week. Points have been building over the last 8 years, and I recently cashed some in to take two of my girls on a trip to Costa Rica. American Express and JetBlue exchange points for miles at a ratio of 250 = 200, respectively. I was able to use about 150K points to get us three round trip tickets to Costa Rica. (Surf camp not included.) The point about points is: They add up. I have not been paid to write this.

These Folks Deserve a Night Out

about the blog author:

Michelle Nicholasen
I am a mother of five children, now aged 10, 11, 11, 11, and 14. This blog is inspired by the book I wrote with Barbara O'Neal, the Educational Director of Arlington Children's Center. But the blog's main purpose is to share creative ideas for managing the wacky, frustrating, often irrational behaviors of little kids. The blog is growing with my children, so the issues I am writing about today reflect the development of tweens and teens.
