How do I get my kids to clean up their toys?...a little Mary Poppins magic. Our clean-up song is "Spoonful of Sugar" from Mary Poppins. My kids, 4 & 2, are obsessed with Mary Poppins, especially the fun nursery clean-up scene with "spoonful of sugar". So we pretend to be Mary Poppins (me), Jane (played by my 2 year old daughter) & Michael (played by my 4 year old son). We blast the song and dance around singing at the top of our lungs while picking up toys. I have to admit... it is fun mainly because I get to be Mary Poppins for those few minutes who is "perfect in everyway" :)
